Symphonia Jubilate is a symphony orchestra organisation made up of students from over 50 public primary and high schools. Founded in 2013 by Tracy Burjan and Luke Wallace, the organisation aims to provide students with an opportunity to rehearse, learn and perform quality orchestral music from a diverse range of musical styles, as well as to foster a new level of music appreciation and skill.
In 2025 we are running the following the ensembles:
Core Ensembles
SJ Orchestras
SJ Recorders: Flauto Dolce
The SJ recorder ensemble caters for students who are working beyond their school level and/or do not have recorder ensembles at their school.
Additional Ensembles
In addition to our core ensembles above, students have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with:
Primo Strings
Primo Strings are our elite string group of high school string players. They regularly perform at prestigious events such as concerts at the Sydney Opera House and Department of Education launches.
SJ Fiato
Fiato is a newly created concert band ensemble made of wind, brass and percussion players.
SJ Marcato
Conducted by Jaden White, SJ Marcato features our SJ percussion players in their own special ensemble.
